The platform „WG-Box“ (engl. Flatshare Box) combines the basic functions of the search for a shared flat, the combination of supply and demand, with social network structures, such as the exchange via online telephony, chat and user profiles, and additionally supplements these functions with a planning tool. In the intersection, this creates a portal that not only controls the sub-area of offer mediation, but also accompanies the entire organizational and communicative process of a casting. It allows to generate an optimized user experience by linking these elements. The controls allow a quick and easy agreement between the partners and provide the opportunity for personal exchange. By focussing more on the individuals as a community by integrating profiles and images, a personal level of exchange is created so that sympathies can be explored faster and more efficiently. In combination with the comprehensive offer texts and profile information, it is possible for the users to make a selective selection even before the actual casting, which significantly reduces the time required for the casting process. The clearly structured interface and the reduction to the essential functions enables intuitive navigation through the pages. The user friendliness is visually complemented by a clearly structured and harmonious design and is characterized by a strong personal character in the form of visual and content design. The project „WG-Box“ responds to a structural problem of the existing platforms, closes a gap in the market and generates a new and innovative product, which optimally serves the user’s needs

TARGET GROUP

In principle, the target group consists of all people looking for or offering a shared flat. However, as primarily young, single people live in a residential community the visual and content design is tailored to suit an age group of eighteen to thirty-five.
